Ellen Page on Letterman

So Dave starts back up with his writers and one of his first guests on his return is Ellen Page from “Juno.” Now, all of you already know how great I think the film is (six viewings and counting), and one of the primary reasons for the greatness is Ellen’s performance in the lead role. Ellen obviously had great comic chops as was evidenced in the film, but this interview shows that she’s actually pretty damned funny for real. The whole exchange about her living in a whorehouse is just hilarious. Yes, WHOREHOUSE. Some of you may have missed it, so enjoy watching the interview.

  1. Francis! Thanks for keeping me updated! Sometimes I feel in the dark over here! Letterman has a beard! haha Also, I love Nova Scotia because that is the area where one of my favorite chic flick movies was made! :) That girl is fuuuunnnay.

  2. What a winningly witty and naturally appealing young person. I hadn’t known of her. She seems quite lucid enough to make good career decisions such that we’ll get to see a lot more of her without having to patronize vehicles we otherwise wouldn’t want to see. Hope Hollywood doesn’t package and force her too much, in its usual insipid, off-putting way. Even Dave, who now resembles a German sea captain, was on unusually good behavior, with a minimum of the cheap postmod snidery that passes for humor these days. Thanks for the tip.

  3. so nice to see a young celeb who seems intelligent, funny, and charming all at once. however, about 4 years ago i was thinking the same about lohan, whom used to appear intelligent at times.

this exchange was priceless, i think dave was even impressed with the comedic skills of ms. page.
