Mixing it up…

Here’s a couple of my original poems. Yes, I do write things that aren’t just hilarious and witty. LOL.  Tell me what you think.

lingering on the periphery
circles large and small
a feigned sense of cool
drown out the deafening silence

can one die a good death
hundreds yet only one
touch and go now

gazing into the eyes of salvation
warmth swells and pulls ever so gently
the sun shines brightly as it rains
pain as i lay my head down

armed with the weapon of choice
crystal ball with flashes of the truth
forcing a picture to mean a thousand words
holding on for dear life

another long morrow
full of veiled references
promises unfulfilled

Tabula Rasa

What do I want?
What do you need?
Rage swells like a tide to shore.
Pain abound in an entropic state.
Can you whisper in a dead man’s ear?
Will you shout your sanguine revelation?
No ethereal recall.
A lie that brings a smile.
A tear shed for the truth.

One Response to “Mixing it up…”

  1. “I don’t get it,” she painfully dragged the sentence as she twirled her finger through her hair.

    Truly lovely!
